The problem

When a patient can't wait, finding the right doctor shouldn't take ten phone calls.

In many clinics, on-call coordination still depends on printed schedules, the switchboard and personal phone numbers.

01

The schedule is out of date.

The on-call schedule was printed last week. Two swaps later, nobody is sure who is really covering tonight.

02

The right person is hard to reach.

Staff call the switchboard, then a mobile, then a ward extension, while the patient waits.

03

Changes get lost.

Coverage requests and swaps are agreed in corridors and private messages, with no record the whole team can see.

NSERIX gives every member of the team one shared, up-to-date view of who is on call, and one way to reach them.

How NSERIX works

One schedule, one directory, one way to reach your team.

1

Find who's on call.

Search by name, specialty, team, unit or department, or open On-Call Lookup to see who covers a service now, or at any date and time.

2

Reach them in one tap.

Call through the app, on their mobile or on their secondary number, or send a message with photos, audio, video or an ECG file.

3

Keep the schedule current.

When someone can't work a shift, they request coverage or a swap. The first colleague to accept takes it, and the schedule updates for everyone.

Availability and rules built in

Forget manual scheduling.

Staff set their availability, managers apply their scheduling rules, and NSERIX checks every assignment, so building the monthly schedule takes far less back-and-forth.

Features

Everything your team needs to coordinate care.

Built around how clinics actually organise their on-call teams.

On-call and scheduling

On-Call Lookup

See who is covering a site, a group or a specialty right now, or check any future date before you need it.

Shared on-call schedule

Month, week and day views of every schedule, kept up to date for the whole team instead of on paper.

Coverage and swaps

Ask colleagues to cover a shift or trade dates. Requests arrive by notification, SMS and email, and the schedule updates once someone accepts.

Unfilled shifts

Managers see every shift that still needs someone, assign a doctor directly, or send the opening to eligible colleagues.

Availability and leave

Each person sets when they can and can't take extra shifts, so requests go to people who are actually free.

Rules and public holidays

Define who can or can't be on duty together and set holidays once; NSERIX checks every assignment against your rules.

Calendar sync

Doctors can copy their own shifts to Google Calendar or Outlook, with automatic updates when a shift changes.

Communication

In-app calling

Call a colleague, a unit or a department straight from their card.

Secure messaging

One-to-one and team conversations with photos, audio, video and ECG files. Shared media is removed automatically after the period your clinic chooses.

Smart notifications

Each person sets the order in which NSERIX reaches them: app, email, mobile, secondary number or pager.

Team directory and status

Every colleague's card shows their specialty, on-call status, shift time and a short status message.

Patients, beds and emergencies

Status boards

A live view of beds and patients for each unit, with the doctors, nurses and care team assigned to each bed.

My Patients

Doctors see the patients assigned to them, with one-tap calls to the nurse and the unit.

Nurse and bed assignment

Head nurses link nurses to beds and phone numbers, so a call from a bed always reaches the right person.

Emergency cases

Track every emergency from arrival to completion, with a running timer, attachments and the team assigned.

Administration and reporting

Role-based access

Each person sees only what their role requires, from front desk to medical director.

Sites, units and care teams

Organise one clinic or several sites, with their units, departments, beds and care teams.

Reports

Bed, schedule and emergency reports with CSV and PDF export, for managers who need the numbers.

Web, Android and iOS

The same platform at the desk, on the ward and on the move.

Emergencies and ambulance pre-alerts

Prepare for the patient before the ambulance arrives.

With the optional ambulance module, ambulance crews send a pre-alert from the field: case type, patient details, location, estimated arrival time and photos or an ECG. The receiving team is alerted immediately, and the alert repeats until someone responds.

Accept or decline with confirmation. Emergency staff confirm their identity before accepting or declining a case, and must give a reason for any refusal.

One record from field to unit. Once accepted, the case and its attachments move into your Emergency Cases list.

Clear status for everyone. Crew and clinic see the same status: requested, accepted, declined, completed.

NSERIX supports coordination between your teams. It does not replace the national emergency services or your official alert procedures.

Who uses NSERIX

Designed for every role in your clinic.

Each person gets the tools their role needs, nothing more.

Doctors

See your next shift, find the on-call specialist, request coverage or a swap, and reach colleagues in one tap. If you work in several clinics, link them all to one account.

Nurses and midwives

Know which doctor covers your unit tonight, call them from the bed's status board, and share updates with the care team.

Head nurses

Assign nurses to beds and phone numbers, follow bed status in your unit, and manage your team's schedule.

Medical directors and heads of department

Build and publish the on-call schedule, fill open shifts, approve swaps and act on behalf of staff when needed.

Reception and switchboard

Put callers through to the right on-call doctor without searching through lists or printed schedules.

Clinic management

Manage users, sites and permissions in one place, and use reports to follow activity and staffing.

Lab, imaging, pharmacy and physiotherapy staff use NSERIX too, and ambulance crews can join through the optional ambulance module.

Dynamic Network

A private network for your clinic, with its own code.

Each clinic or group of clinics on NSERIX gets its own network. Your team signs in with your network code and sees only your clinic's people, schedules and patients. Your administrators decide who joins, what each person can do, and which modules are switched on.

Your own network code. Staff sign in with a username, a password and your clinic's code.

One or several sites. Organise every site with its units, departments and beds.

Your rules. Set roles, scheduling rules, public holidays and how long shared media is kept.

Guided set-up. We create your network, import your staff and train your team.
